At Elevate Metabolism, we believe in helping people understand their metabolism to improve overall health and performance. We utilize common laboratory methods to give you an accurate representation of your metabolic function and personalized performance programs.
VO2 max is a measure of cardiorespiratory fitness. It is the best predictor of longevity and increasing your VO2 max can decrease mortality risk. Learn where you fall compared the average person in your age category!
Measuring resting metabolic rate tells you how many calories you burn at rest. This will help you understand your unique energy needs so you can personalize your nutrition and training based on your metabolism.
Metabolic testing can help optimize our health and performance by structuring programs based on your specific physiology and metabolism!
During the test, exercise intensity will increase incrementally until the point of fatigue. The tests normally last between 8-15 minutes. You will be breathing into a face mask that measures your inhaled oxygen. Testing can be done anywhere using our portable VO2 analyzer.
You will get measures of your VO2 max as well as Ventilatory thresholds. From this data, we will generate heart rate training zones based on your specific metabolic parameters. From here, we can create personalized training programs to suit your specific goals, whether that's improving metabolic health, improving performance outcomes, or weight management.
This depends on your goals and your training program. The average person starting a training program should repeat testing every 8-12 weeks to track progress. Athletes training for a specific event should repeat testing every 6-8 weeks.
